Individual Counseling

in Midtown Manhattan and online

Is it time to work on yourself?

Some of the deepest relationship healing starts with one person deciding to look inward.
Not to fix everything. Not to blame themselves. But to finally understand the patterns, fears, and emotional truths that keep showing up—no matter who they’re with.

If you’ve noticed the same dynamics repeating in your romantic relationships, friendships, or family life… you’re not alone. You didn’t develop those patterns by accident. They were shaped by what you needed to survive.

What Is Relationship Therapy (for One)?

This is individual therapy through a relational lens.
We focus on how you show up in relationships—romantic, familial, professional, and most importantly, with yourself.

Together, we explore:

  • Your relationship patterns, attachment style, and emotional triggers

  • How your family history shaped your beliefs around love, safety, and self-worth

  • Why you tend to overfunction, shut down, chase, avoid, or give too much

  • What it would look like to relate with more clarity, boundaries, and self-respect

This work is not about blaming yourself—it’s about empowering yourself.

You Might Be Here Because...

  • You feel anxious or insecure in romantic relationships

  • You avoid conflict and then feel resentful

  • You’ve been in a pattern of toxic or one-sided relationships

  • You’re navigating a breakup, divorce, or betrayal

  • You want to stop repeating old patterns and feel more secure, connected, and grounded in your relationships

  • You’re realizing the version of love you learned growing up isn’t working for you anymore

What Happens in Our Work Together?

I offer a space that is warm, direct, and emotionally honest.

We’ll get curious about your relationship history—not to dwell in the past, but to understand what’s been driving your patterns so you can make different choices moving forward.

My work is grounded in:

  • Relational Life Therapy – to help you identify unhealthy dynamics and shift how you show up

  • Attachment theory – to understand your emotional wiring and learn secure ways of relating

  • Brainspotting and somatic tools – to work with deeper trauma or emotional residue stuck in the body

  • Cultural context and identity – to explore how your background, values, and life experiences shape the way you show up in relationships.

Some days, we’ll talk through specific issues. Other days, we’ll go deeper into the emotional or nervous system roots of your triggers. Either way, we move at a pace that’s honest and sustainable.

Common Areas We Might Explore

  • Trust issues or fear of vulnerability

  • Boundaries and emotional enmeshment

  • Self-worth and codependency

  • Anxiety in dating or romantic relationships

  • Conflict avoidance or emotional shutdown

  • Cultural or intergenerational dynamics (especially in South Asian families)

  • Healing from betrayal, heartbreak, or abandonment

You don’t have to untangle this all on your own

If you're ready to understand your patterns, honor your needs, and relate with more clarity and ease—let’s talk.
I offer therapy in-person in Midtown Manhattan and online across New York and New Jersey.

Rooted in culture, committed to healing

In individual counseling, we embrace the best features of cultural traditions while letting go of ones that get in the way of a loving relationship. My own cultural background allows me to understand my clients’ motivations and behaviors, while helping them move towards ones that are relational and respectful.
